Burn Zombie Burn is a tough game to get to grips with, however it really is great fun and well worth the asking price. If you love zombies in your games then you are definitely going to love this. A top quality title at a very tempting price.

PlayStation 3GameZone
This game is what a zombie-killer game should be. It offered all the creativity, hilarity, and destruction any gamer could ask for and then some.

PlayStation 3Game Over Online
Even with the plethora of weapons, zombie types, game modes, and levels to choose from, the game can get stale after awhile. That aside, Burn Zombie Burn! has many memorable moments: there are times when I was desperately trying to survive against hordes of the undead, and I’d see my friend’s character run across my screen while being chased by an army of flaming zombies. Moments like that definitely make this game worth every penny.

doublesix has done a hell of a job in creating a simple, attractive, immensely rewarding (and ridiculously challenging game if the high score goals are any indication) little shooter that deserves more than a passing look.

For ten bucks, Burn Zombie Burn will keep you busy for a while. The game can become addicting especially after one of two good runs with a high score. It’s mindless fun that will keep you playing for a good six hours if not more. It’s a really great pick-up-and-play game. I’d say drop the money on it. You’ll have a blast with the crazy weapons, fast-paced game play, and easy accessibility.

PlayStation 3IGN
Burn, Zombie, Burn! is a lot better than I first assumed it would be. There's quite a bit of depth to the game's mechanics, and the risk/reward setups that percolate through all the different aspects of zombie squashin' mean no two tries on a level will play out exactly the same. Given the amount of stuff to get and the insane scores needed to reach some of 'em, there's quite a bit of game to be had here for just $10.

PlayStation 31UP
So yeah, this is a good time all around. The only thing better than killing the hell out of a few thousand undead is doing it with friends. Well, unless you can do it for dirt cheap.

PlayStation 3GamingTrend
Burn Zombie Burn is a very fun arcade style action game. Anyone who enjoyed Smash TV way back in the day will find a lot to like with Burn Zombie Burn. For its cheap price of admission there are a lot of game modes and challenges to conquer. Fans of the zombie genre or even Bruce Campbell will definitely get a kick out of the main character and his desire to kill as many zombies as he can. It’s hard not to recommend this one to anyone who likes retro style arcade games or zombies.

PlayStation 3Mygamer.com
Burn Zombie Burn is a great action arcade shooter for its $10 download price. The player will get overwhelmed from time to time, but staying alive is always within the player’s grasp. This keeps the balancing and frustration levels more to a minimum while the fun factor stays in the forefront. With a sleek coat of presentation polish, this is one PSN exclusive that is definitely entertaining. It is just a shame that there is no dual analog control scheme and no online play.

These shortcomings aside, Burn Zombie Burn remains a killer value for $4.99 -- it’s deeply fun and the kind of game that becomes a perfect way to waste an ever-increasing amount of time laying waste to the undead hordes.

WindowsAdrenaline Vault, The (AVault)
Overall, though, I have to say that the price point is perfect (just $10 on Steam), the download is short (about 300 MB), and the action is fast-paced, fun, and free of any semblance of plot beyond “blast as many zombies as you can.”

So, another quality PSN title just perfect for those afternoons when all you want to do is take our your anger on a pack of hungry zombies. Burn Zombie Burn! is well produced, smartly priced, great fun and a nice addition to anyone’s XMB. The various score challenges will keep you coming back for more, there’s a decent smattering of Trophies and you can feel good about yourself because you’ve supported yet another PS3 exclusive game. Good on you.

PlayStation 3Worth Playing
Burn Zombie Burn is a great value for $10. It offers gameplay that requires some strategy, and there's enough difficulty in unlocking everything that there's plenty of reason to go back and keep aiming for high scores. It's got enough charm to carry it through its problems, like the auto-aim, and it just happens to be an absolute blast to set thousands of zombies on fire over the course of a 15-minute level. If you've got $10 and are looking for a shooter, Burn Zombie Burn is a great purchase.

PlayStation 3PSX Extreme
The PSN has plenty of quality titles already, and here’s another one. It doesn’t take much in the way of brainpower, but that’s good: it’s the perfect complement to games like echochrome and Cuboid. Light ‘em up, chop ‘em up, shoot ‘em up; whatever’s up your alley. We promise you’ll have a blast.

PlayStation 3videogamer.com
Available for £6.29 Burn, Zombie, Burn is easy to recommend. The non-twin-stick controls won't be for everyone, but once you've got to grips with the system Doublesix has created there's no end of fun to be found here. With enough depth to keep you coming back for weeks, if not months down the line, high score junkies won't be disappointed.

PlayStation 3Giant Bomb
Burn Zombie Burn isn't for people looking for a casual action game; if you can't hang with the demands of something like Geometry Wars, this one will probably stress you out to no end. But if you enjoy getting a grip on fairly complicated mechanics and juggling them as fast as you can while you watch your scores race ever higher, there's a lot of depth in this one. Now if you'll excuse me, those gold medals aren't going to earn themselves.

PlayStation 3Gamers' Temple, The
Overall, Burn Zombie Burn is a very solid pickup for anyone that wants a shooter with a rather unique twist on the usual overhead shooter genre. It really pays to move through the tutorial at least once before engaging in single player to see what the game has to offer besides just the standard shooting. Like with all shooters, Burn Zombie Burn is best played in short spurts but it proves to be an addicting game with each playthrough.

PlayStation 3Gamer 2.0
Burn Zombie Burn doesn’t really give off the greatest first impression in the world since it seems to look like a dual-stick shooter but doesn’t play like one. Once you learn how the game really works and get past your initial assumptions, you’ll find that there is a pretty good arcade shooter here that’s full of good zombie fun. A lack of online co-op and the option for turning off splitscreen for local co-op is a bit of a downer, but those of you with friends nearby will have a lot to like as you have fun killing zombie hordes together.

Windows411mania.com
In terms of a budget-price shoot 'em up game, Burn Zombie Burn offers a lot more than you would expect. The game is clearly geared toward fun and casual gaming, but there's enough challenge in the hordes of the undead to appeal to most gamers for at least long enough to make the ten bucks worthwhile. If you can get past the occasionally iffy control scheme--again, the tutorial helps a lot with this in terms of getting you used to it--Burn Zombie Burn will be a game that most people will find an enjoyable diversion.

PlayStation 3Console Monster
The risk-reward nature of the gameplay in Burn Zombie Burn is enough to make the player return for more, if not the adrenaline inducing intensity. Whilst the task may, on the face of it, look repetitive, it never feels tired or boring to play. If high-score chasing gives you pleasure, then Burn Zombie Burn comes highly recommended.

PlayStation 3Gaming Age
I'd say you should definitely pick up Burn Zombie Burn if you're a PS3 owner, it's a solid PSN title that uses an old familiar gameplay set-up but does some interesting stuff with the scoring and weapon system, and it helps a lot that the game has a sense of humor that'll appeal to most. Even if you're a bit burnt out on zombie related games at this point, at least BZB doesn't take itself all that seriously, and it's something that can be played and enjoyed in short bursts, which is exactly what I like to see out of these digital titles.

WindowsMygamer.com
The game is 10 dollars, which seems about right for the maximum amount of enjoyable this game is able to deliver. While it does stop well before becoming terrible in any way it also doesn’t really do any massive favors for itself. People who need another zombie game in their lives to make it through the day will find something to love about this, although for everyone else it is just kind of sad that the nostalgia is way better than the device being used to evoke it.

WindowsGameZone
Burn Zombie Burn is a fun little zombie-shooter with appealing game modes and plenty of action. Unfortunately, the complete lack of multiplayer is a missed opportunity indeed. The game features six maps and three gameplay modes that would feel right at home with a friend shooting it up with you, but sadly that experience is not to be found. Additionally, the spotty control scheme leaves much to be desired, making for an overall lonely experience that doesn’t feel like it should.

PlayStation 3ZTGameDomain
Burn, Zombie, Burn! brings a fun gimmick to some old school game-play. Pandering to the shmup and zombie crowds, there is enough genuinely good game to win a following. Beyond torching the undead, however, there isn't anything truly remarkable in the title. Despite the varying modes and simulated goals, the underlying objectives don't change, which manages to make zombie fires downright pedestrian.

PlayStation 3GameSpot
It's worth noting that Burn Zombie Burn presents a pretty stiff challenge. Even earning bronze medals on some levels will take some players a good deal of practice, so the game is better suited for those who relish a tough climb up the leaderboards. At 10 bucks, the game doesn't feel totally fleshed out, but the unique scoring system can make it hard to put down, compelling you to take bigger and bigger risks in an effort to improve your scores.

PlayStation 3Boomtown
Add this to the overall quality of the game, the number of weapons, game modes, levels and the weird and wonderful array of zombies that will appear in your game, makes this a game I have to recommend.

PlayStation 3Destructoid
Mediocre multiplayer aside, Burn Zombie Burn is still a very fun to play and has an impressive amount of complexity for what it is. The zombies are charming, funny charicatures with outlandish behavior which are sure to bring a smile. Fans of dual-stick, arcade shooters should have a good time playing, while those less interested in score-based games may be unimpressed.

PlayStation 3Everyeye.it

PlayStation 3D+PAD Magazine
Although simplistic on the surface, Burn Zombie Burn does have hidden depth that’ll keep players engaged. Offering a real challenge, this is a lovingly crafted and produced title from a team that has spotted what’s currently popular and delivered a humorously entertaining spin on the genre. Full of references for older and younger fans alike (most noticeably, Shaun of the Dead’s amusing cricket bat), this has to be commended as a smartly put together PSN title. With a lack of game modes and online multiplayer missing, content is a little bare, but judging by what is here, our zombie obsession won’t be stopping anytime soon.

WindowsSoftpedia
There isn't much to do in Burn Zombie Burn! and some of the more frustrating design choices of the developers make this a hard title to recommend. While initially fun, the niggles I have just described turn this into a boring experience in the end, not quite worth your time. In the end, I would advise potential buyers to try the demo first and decide if the rather excellent risk versus reward mechanic is enough to justify the expenses.

PlayStation 3The Review Busters
I really really really wanted to like this game a lot. We all know by now that I am a huge zombie fan so whenever anything zombie related comes out I have to buy it. In this case I wish I didn’t buy Burn Zombie Burn. The game isn’t the worst game I have ever played but it sure needs a little work.

Burn Zombie Burn is a great arcade game that is likely to fill a Sunday afternoon when you want to lose yourself and just play something without epic stories or complicated gameplay mechanics. It satisfies your basic high score addiction and looks delightful doing it.

PlayStation 3Thunderbolt Games
If Burn Zombie Burn was half its price it would be a good investment, as it has a lot of laughs - particularly in the decent two-player mode - and a strong style and presentation, but at £6.29 (or $9.99) it’s a little on the expensive side. After a slew of twin-stick shooters in the wake of Geometry Wars it falls to captivating gameplay to really make a title stand out, and Burn Zombie Burn feels a little too generic and repetitive to really make an impact on PSN. If you’re a zombie freak and really like the sub-genre then this might be worth an investment, but for the rest of us there’s not really a great deal here that will pull us away from Super Stardust HD, Flower or PixelJunk.

PlayStation 3Cheat Code Central
The visual style of the game is appealing, with a slightly cartoony approach and some excellent fire effects. You can play BZB split-screen with a friend, and there are plenty of levels including six different playable arenas in Free Play, Timed, and Defend Daisy (protecting your girlfriend's car from approaching zombie hordes) modes. There are even ten challenges to be found that focus the player on completing a specific goal such as protecting a teddy bear from zombies for a certain amount of time. It is still possible to enjoy BZB as is, but it would have been much more fun had the lock-on worked well and there was a better way to set zombies on fire that didn't involve walking through the center of a horde with a burning stick. For ten dollars, though, this is still a lengthy and challenging experience that should definitely help remind older gamers of their quarter-pumping days.
