My one gripe is that landing and taking off at the end of each level takes far too long, though it is a good piece of animation and graphics, it gets a bit boring after the second or third time. Look out for more from Action.

There is nothing appealing about this game whatsoever. The tune that relentlessly drones throughout is incredibly annoying, and the graphics are of the poorest standard - the enemy planes are miniscule and lack any detail. The worst thing about 1943 though, is the game itself - repetitive, unplayable and often frustrating. Ten quid is asking far too much for this sub-standard piece of software. Give it a miss.
With terrible graphics, naff sound and too slow gameplay, this game 'One Year After' should be '13 Million Years Before'. Or at least the programming skills were. One of the worst games I have ever played.
