Commodore Format
If your software shelf is already packed with a plethora of puzzle games, the wisdom of buying The Power is questionable. But if you missed out on last year's puzzle games glut, this is worth closer inspection. The simple graphics work well, the sound is great and the playability absolutely mammoth.
Die erste Produktion der Newcomer Demonware auf dem C64 zeigt, wie man auch mit 8-Bit Rechenleistung tolle Spiele produzieren kann. Das Spielprinzip ist zwar schon ein wenig altbacken (siehe Atomix oder Shiftrix), aber die kleinen niedlichen Spielhelden und ihre Umwelt gefallen so gut, daß es Spaß macht, in den verzwickten Räumen mit Max auf Tour zu gehen. Das Scrolling der Spielfläche funktioniert ohne Probleme und das entgegengesetzte Verschieben des Hintergrunds ist ein schöner Effekt.
