Capcom Generation: Dai 2 Shū - Makai to Kishi

This Capcom Generation's disc isn't going to wow anybody with it's graphic might, it's pretty old school looking ... but for anybody who does, or does not remember who great these games were, this collection is for you. Each game has enough to offer to keep you satisfied for quite a while. And you're friends will love it. It's a shame this never made its way to the U.S., but if you're daring, this is my personal favorite of Capcom's Generation discs. A real winning all the way through.

It’s unbelievably difficult to make progress, but there’s that indefinable something that draws you back to try again. And again.When you finally manage to scrape through the relief is palpable. It’ll be an odd feeling for younger gamers, due to the game’s adverse toughness, but if you find the going a bit tough, you can change the difficulty level. There’s a nifty gallery of art from the original arcade machines and also a run-down of the baddies. Namco Generation 2 is insanely addictive and a fulfiling challenge...

Anyone who has harbored thoughts of getting this collection should do so at the earliest convenience. The score doesn't tell half the story. If this were a new game with a Castlevania-level leap in graphics and innovation, it would be at the top of the heap. A lesson in great game design.
