Description
Carve is a watercraft racing game, taking the player through many different environments and rough waters. The ultimate goal is to cross the finish line before the competition, but success depends on your ability to pull of stunts and take gambles as well. Featuring a simple trick system, success depends on correct timing of trick use to boost your speed. A buoy miss system allows you to bypass a limited number of buoys as well, adding in another strategic element.
Carve's gameplay modes include quick race, tournament, trick tutorial, system link and Xbox Live.

Trivia
This game started life in late 2000 when
Microsoft commissioned
Argonaut to make a jet ski racing title for its upcoming console, the Xbox. Somewhere along the line, around mid-2002, Microsoft's marketing team got cold feet about the project and the financial plug was pulled. Argonaut self-funded the project for a year before
Take 2 (
Global Star's parent company) picked it up for publishing. It was released in Europe and the US in early 2004.
