DescriptionCassette One is a collection of eleven games and programs that contains:
React: Your plane flies from left to right across the screen above a nuclear reactor and missile bases. You have to bomb the reactor within a time limit and the bases also can be bombed. As you fly you can move up and down to avoid the missiles fired at you.
Invaders: A Space Invaders clone where you have to move a craft left or right at the bottom of the screen to destroy the aliens in formation above.
Phantom Aliens: You control a missile launcher which moves left or right to try to destroy aliens moving across the top of the screen from left to right. Part of the aliens have a shield and if your missile hits the shield then it bounces back down and can destroy your launcher if the missile hits.
Maze of Death: You have to escape from an invisible maze while trying to avoid a DIS (Dreaded Invisible Something). You are told what distance you are from the escape point.
Planet Lander: You are presented with various instrument readings like height, velocity and fuel. You must adjust the figures to land safely on a planet.
Bug Splat: You control a foot by lifting it up and down to squash bugs that run along the screen from left to right.
Bouncing Letters: A game for three players that sees each player controlling a letter below rows of the same letters moving across the screen from right to left. The players have to place their letters in the other letters to make the whole row match their letter.
I Ching: A program that allows you to ask a question and get the answer in I Ching Hexagrams.
Code Break: Based on the game Mastermind where you have to guess four letters in the correct order that the computer is thinking off. Once you have guessed, the computer will say B for the correct letter in the correct position and W for the correct letter in the wrong position.
Robots: A program that asks you how many robots you want on screen and the robots will move in a programed way making a pattern on the screen. Robot 1 will follow Robot 2, Robot 2 will follow Robot 3 etc.
Basic Hangman: Based on the pen and paper game which sees you try to guess a word the computer is thinking by selecting different letters. Get the letter right and it appears in the word, but get the letter wrong and the noose descends with five wrong guesses meaning you are hanged.
