The CD-i Collective
In summary, this one got the refinement it needed to make it really fun. Surprizing with a licenced title. This one was a real treat to play. It didn't try to be more than the shooter that it was, or take the license in a completely new direction, it just tried to create a good meld of game & action tv series. Clean graphics, good sounds, and fun gameplay all come together to show they did a pretty darn good job. If I had to pick a gripe, it'd be that its a bit short. Only 3 levels, but each of the levels are pretty extensive, and with the randomness of the enemies, and the possible difference of playing the final level as Zack or the M.A.J.O.R. add a bit more life to this stunningly good title. The bonus of the complete episode the game was based (in part) on, included on a second Video CD disc is a nice addition as well. :-) Recommended for gun game fans, and fans of action-arcade fun.
The Video Game Critic
The three games are shallow but I like how you get a score for each one in addition to a running total. Thunder in Paradise may have questionable replay value, but if you're in the right frame of mind this is a surprisingly entertaining trip back in time.
Video Games & Computer Entertainment
Thunder in Paradise is not exactly a hit show; frankly, I would have preferred Baywatch Interactive, but as a simple shooter with a TV story, it's kinda fun.
B. Star Trek :-)
