Description
Championship Manager 2008 is the 08/09 season iteration of
Championship Manager. Again players take the role of a football club manager and perform tasks like taking charge of tactics, training, signing new players, negotiating contracts etc. Naturally player rosters and statistics have been updated to match the new season. 25% more players are including in the game in comparison with the previous version. With the Australia League added the number of playable nations increased to 27. Like in its predecessor players can view statistics of the matches in the ProZone tool which offers detailed analytical information.
The interface of the game has been completely revamped. During matches you can select various overlays which show useful information such as how the opponent is changing strategy and the stats of certain players. Pop-up pointers provide feedback on selected items throughout the entire interface.
Negotiations for transfers have been improved allowing for more flexibility and more detailed haggling.
