The Good
Well, it's just like the original game. There were a few rule updates and player changes, but it was fundamentally the same. If you were really into CM1 (as it is called these days) then you simply had to buy this.
The Bad
Nothing. An ready perfect game gets updated.
Actually, there were a few things that bugged me, but nothing that really seemed to matter. The most annoying thing was whenever one of your players started to get really good, they'd bugger off the Europe at the end of the season. I lost McAllister, Kelly and Speed (from the '94 Leeds United squad) in one summer. Ouch!
The Bottom Line
Like its predecessor, it's a masterpiece. But it's also a necessary upgrade. The CM series of games follows the same lines as PCs themselves. Every time a new version comes out you have to upgrade, even though there's nothing wrong with what you have.
