Description

Charlaine Harris: Dying For Daylight is a single player adventure game that combines both point and click puzzle solving with hidden object elements.

The story is set in a world where vampires have 'come out' and live openly in the world and game consists of four episodes:
  • Episode 1 – Vampire Wars
  • Episode 2 – The Wizard in the Basement
  • Episode 3 – The Glutton of Gilborne
  • Episode 4 – Inked
It starts in New Orleans where a vampire crashes a wedding party in broad daylight. This causes a sensation in certain circles for the only way a vampire can exist in daylight is if they have the mythical sun potion. Dahlia is tasked by one of her elders to investigate and retrieve the potion so off she goes to New Orleans only to find that she's not the only one interested. Other vampires are already on the trail and the vampire wars have begun.

The game is played entirely with the mouse and automatically saves the players progress. As the player moves through the game and solves puzzles they collect trophies and achievement cards. Though the vampire wars feature in the storyline there is no fighting involved at all, this is an adventure / puzzle game through and through. It has a built in hint function that, like similar games of this type, needs time to recharge after it has been used.
