Description official description

You find yourself, along with the upper echelon of society, on a river boat owned by an eccentric host. When the host is killed in plain view of the guests, it is up to you to solve the classic conundrum, "Whodunnit?"

In this cinematic adventure, you must interview the notorious, colorful characters of the Clue storyline including Professor Plus, Miss Scarlett, and Colonel Mustard, not to mention new faces such as a struggling amateur magician, an irritable artist, and a beautiful psychic & hypnotist. Solve a variety of puzzles, often with the help and advice of the other guests and their special skills. And hurry, because one of these people is a murderer.

Alas, how true to its name

The Good
The game's premise looks promising... keyword "looks", though.

The Bad
From dialogues and voice-overs to story and presentation, this game reeks of lack of quality. Never played any clue-like game before, on a computer or as a "board" game, so I was expecting some interesting if at least captivating detective whodunit game on par with "The Colonel's Bequest", but alas, none of the good was delivered.

The graphics although nice at moments, still do not explain why this game had to be put on three cds, there are much more requiring games I've seen on but a single one. The story, puzzles, and conclusion are so dissatisfying you'll feel robbed of your time spent on this game. Although I love simple games, you can hardly save something that is laid on uninspired, boring, and bad direction and scriptwriting. What is most regretful is that this could be a great adventure if only it would be done in a better way.

The Bottom Line
Believe me, this game's cheap price is less than a reason to get it, it doesn't capture your interest simply because of its bad execution.

Trivia

Cover art

The game was distributed with a variety of different covers-- the difference being the murder weapon prominently displayed (knife, smoking gun, etc.).
