אז אם אתם חובבי יריות, או שאין לכם מבחר גדול מדי לרובה שברשותכם, קחו את המשחק הזה לידיים, לאחרים מומלץ לחכות למשחק יריות קצת יותר משובח!

The game is not without it's problems. It's exciting when zombies are flying at you from every direction (yes, they fly!), but you'll see the same backgrounds over and over. Except for the zombies in "gangsta' gear", they all start to look the same. And where are the female zombies? And why is Captain Cooper so manly? I get tired of looking at his face (his face measures your health, the same as in Doom). Anyway, it's a good shooter. You might be tired of it after a while, but it's a lot of fun until you do.

Corpse Killer...appallingly mundane or fiendishly clever? Take your pick. Hardcore shoot-em-up vets will scream at the zombie-paced zombie zapping, but as a drive-in horror flick sendoff, Corpse Killer might wake the dead.

Corpse is a B-grade game that's as fun as a B-grade movie. If you can't keep a good zombie down, you can't keep a pretty good one down, either.

You may dive into Corpse Killer and heavily criticize it. If FMV games pique your interest though, you may be unexpectedly blessed with a fresh new perspective on this genre, and you might just stick it out with a "let's just see how it ends" attitude. Not an impressive game, and I sure as heck wouldn't show it to a girlfriend, but a good choice for FMV fans, scarce as they are.

If you're a big fan of shooters, then Corpse Killer is a very fine choice. On the whole, Corpse Killer shows great advances in combining video and games, but until there's more gameplay to the game, I think I'll continue to watch my movies and play my games.

Clean dialogue and cool effects compensate for standard Night clap-Trap music. This'll do for zombified Saturn gamers.

Full-motion video games are flooding the market, but none of them are very exciting to me. Corpse Killer has some interesting ideas, but they aren't executed well at all. Okay, sure, this is the first 32X CD game out there, but it's still not better than the Sega CD edition, other than some minor video clean-up. If FMV games are your thing, then have fun. As for me, I'll look elsewhere.

I found myself almost ready to recommend Corpse Killer for the lengthy narrative, but I can't give a pass to the rote gameplay. At the same time, I'm happy to play another game that supports Sega's Menacer. It may be a terribly flawed game, but Corpse Killer is not without a certain endearing charm.

Corpse Killer is one of the shining examples of the genre. No wait, don't laugh yet. Night Trap was the perfect introduction, and the voyeuristic gameplay made the most sense for telling a story in cinematic language while trying to maintain some level of gamer control. It sucked as a game, and the second-generation titles tried to remedy that. You can see here how this is a standard arcade shooter, but with FMV characters and FMV cutscenes. It has enough "gamey" elements to make it a title worth existing, and the interactive movie parts support the game rather than attempt to replace it. That is about the nicest thing that can be said for such "interactive movies." It's really your call as to whether you want to consider that praise or not.

This FMV is nothing more than a bad home version of Operation Wolf with more cinemas. The game is poor all the way through with little to offer over the earlier Sega CD version besides slightly clearer audio. The acting is that of a low-budget movie giving you the same message after a battle no matter if you kill one enemy or all of them. I think it's time game designers put down the video camera and put new programming techniques to use.

It's hard to recommend Corpse Killer with a straight face, but FMV fans will find it amusing enough.

With a cartoonish Rastafarian tour guide, maniacal scientist, and some truly horrible zombies, the story segments are so bad they're great. It's too bad you have to muddle through some bland, repetitive, and ugly gameplay to see them.

I've played Corpse Killer on several other systems (Sega CD, 32X, Saturn), and this is easily the best looking version, but also the most difficult and frustrating. There are more indicators on the screen, the video looks cleaner, and the zombies aren't pixilated like they are in other versions. I also noticed some additional footage not available on other systems. The game supports a light gun, but like most 3DO owners, I didn't own one. Fortunately I found the cursor control to be adequate. One thing I didn't like about this version of Corpse Killer is the lack of falling "bonus" items. On other systems you can shoot small symbols to boost your ammo or health, which adds a miniscule amount of strategy to the shallow gameplay. If you have a place in your heart for these old FMV games, you'll appreciate Corpse Killer for what it is. But I think most people will dismiss it as a steaming pile of dung.

Corpse Killer is not a good game by any stretch of the imagination, but if you're fascinated by FMV games, this is an interesting relic.

Corpse Killer's gameplay is shallow, easy, and not enjoyable at all. Aiming the cursor with control pad is clumsy and inexact, but Sega's Menacer light gun is also supported (in case you own that colossal monstrosity). The interesting locations are the best aspect of the game, including a fort, village, jungle, beach, and graveyard. The pixilated, floating zombies are clearly just superimposed in front of the scenery, and they look awful. Weak sound effects include the same grunt noise for every zombie shot. I do enjoy the bongo drum music however - it seems appropriate. But if you're looking for a playable version of Corpse Killer, seek out the Saturn or 3DO versions.
