Amstrad Action (May, 1989)
Barbarian II is both highly playable and infuriatingly difficult at the same time. I blends extreme violence, black humour and the puzzling mazes so well you can hardly see the joins.

Graphics are colourful and well animated, and there's loads of visual gags as your character meets his or her demise in myriad gory ways. Sound is effective though not outstanding, but the playability is the thing that stands this out head and shoulders from the pack. Bundles of fun and action, and for only £3.99. Barbarian II is definitely one to grab hold of straight away

This is a well-implemented version of the game of near-classic proportions. More attractive than the Spectrum version with a rich use of colour and solid looking graphics, the sound might be a little disappointing but that's par for the course on the CPC. This is a must-buy for Amstrad owners.

Power Play (Jun, 1989)
Eine kompetente Umsetzung für alle CPC-Besitzer, die Lust auf eine Runde Schwertschwingen haben.
