For the record. The DOS versions of The Lords of Midnight and Doomdark's Revenge were officially released on the CD along side the The Lords of Midnight:The Citadel. This was at the request of Mike Singleton himself. It is mentioned in the manual.

You should probably submit that as Trivia for the second game. (Sorry for replying this late, I just stumbled upon your post when searching for something else!)
