Daffy Duck's one of the best Game Boy carts of the season. Sunsoft went to the moon with graphics, sounds and gameplay. Who needs the rabbit?

If jump-and-shoot gaming is your style, you'll love Daffy Duck. There's enough action here to keep you glued to your set, just like these old Saturday morning cartoons. You'll also find that beating this game is no easy (webbed) feat, so you'll get your money's worth in game play time.

Based on the cartoon "Duck Dodgers in the 24 1/2 Century", Daffy tries to keep Marvin from blowing up Earth in 20 levels of action, wacky humor and excellent graphics.

First Death Valley and Taz-Mania, now Looney Toon Daffy Duck! The animations (just stand Daffy still) and voices are excellent, yet control needs a bit of work - the jumps being particularly troublesome.

Daffy Duck's an okay game, managing to be both playable and reminiscent of the cartoon it's based on. Nothing about it stands out particularly, but it just about managed to keep my attention for the whole time I was playing it. But that doesn't change the fact that IT'S ANOTHER PLATFORM GAME, and you're bound to have several games already that do the job much better. Verdict: Nice-looking, quite good fun to play, and with plenty of Daffy Duck-ness. You've already got lots of games like this, though, and - take it from us - you don't need another one..

The Marvin Missions just doesn't offer any excitement here. The game doesn't pose much of a challenge except for the many pit-falls you unexpectedly find yourself falling down. The bosses are extremely repetitive and the easy-to-follow patterns make them a snap to defeat. In color, the game does look better, but color is not it's saving grace. Maybe it's a good one for the kids, but even then I don't think so.

The audio is superb, with digitized quips ("mother!") and an amazing musical score that's occasionally mesmerizing. The Marvin Missions gets a lot of mileage from its Looney Tunes presentation, but the lack of a password and score hurts its replay value. The cartoon elements are entertaining, but poorly designed stages really suck the joy out of this game.
