Langsam aber sicher entwickeln auch andere Softwarehäuser als Origin Produkte, die eigentlich nur auf Pentiumrechnern ihre volle Qualität entfalten. So auch empire und Rowan, die mit Dawn Patrol eine SVGA-Simulation präsentieren, die Red Baron oder Chuck Yeager in nichts nachsteht.

Some of the finest plane graphics and forgiving flight physics. Flight physics may be too forgiving; many missions feel the same; confusing keyboard commands. Doesn't knock Red Baron from the skies, but makes a good addition to your flight-sim library.

Ulkoisilta ominaisuuksiltaan DP on loistava tapaus, mutta kirjallinen muoto rajoittaa kestävyyttä pahasti ja tehtävät jäävät yksittäisiksi. Dawn Patrolissa häiritsee samaistumisen puute.

I have to say that this game is an average flight simulator. It is pretty fun, and not as confusing as some games I have seen, and its easy to learn how to play. Due to the setting of the game, the player doesn't need to worry about communication channels, and targeting systems. I give this game a 4 out of 5.

Quelques défauts de conception l'empêchent de se hisser au plus haut rang. Cela ne vous empêchera pas de prendre du plaisir aux commandes de ces vieux coucous.

Ljudet är väldigt bra, men VGA-grafiken tyvärr väldigt kantig. Och som vanligt finns alla "fusksätten" att flyga med som valbara optioner.

Ein vorgegebenes Ziel gibt es nicht, man muß nur möglichst lange überleben und so viele Abschüsse wie möglich sammeln. Das ist ein großes Manko von Dawn Patrol: Die ordentliche Grafik und das zufriedenstellende Fluggefühl täuschen auf Dauer nicht über die fehlende Motivation hinweg.
