De griezelbus 2 (Horror Bus 2) is an adventure game for teenagers based on the 1994 horror book of the same name by Dutch youth author
Paul van Loon. De griezelbus is a series of books (7 so far) about teenagers who get trapped in the bus of the evil P. Onnoval (an anagram of the author's name). The different stories have also been adapted for two films.
This CD-ROM turns the book's storyline into an adventure game. You have to explore the junkyard
Roestzacht, where four children have gone missing. Your main task is to collect the author's stolen stories and defeat P. Onnoval in his griezelbus. Played from a first-person perspective, you have to find clues and solve puzzles based on maths, logic, cipher and colours.
Although the game is meant for ages 9 and up, some of the puzzles are quite difficult. During your quest, the author assists you with hints. You also have a depletable energy key to open special locks, a notebook to write down numbers and codes, and an overview of the stories collected so far.
