This is an outstanding feature, though us cable guys now don't have the advantage anymore, but you can walk away, grab your beverage, a snack, let the dog out, etc without having to stare at the monitor. Very nice! Overall and despite a few shortcomings, I would recommend this title to any military FPS fan!

Task Force Dagger sieht mittlerweile
ähnlich alt aus wie Scharpings Minister-Karriere. Auch spielerisch kann es sich
mit der aktuellen Konkurrenz auf keinen
Fall messen. Dennoch machen mir die
Missionen immer noch Spaß. Man muss
jeden Schritt sehr genau planen, um sich
nicht urplötzlich in einem Hinterhalt wiederzufinden.
Allerdings bleibt Task Force
Dagger chancenlos gegen
Flashpoint
& Co. Ich warte auf
Black Hawk Down.

Task Force Dagger's multiplayer is a much more dynamic experience than its single-player game. NovaLogic continues to do a good job supporting its games on the NovaWorld service, and getting connected is easy and plenty of players are online. There are a variety of scenarios, from Capture the Flag variants, to team Demolition games, to the usual Deathmatch games. Deathmatch is, of course, utterly chaotic and gives new meaning to the term "ephemeral."

It's not a game; it's a mission pack. The only reason Task Force Dagger is not sold as an expansion is because Land Warrior is almost two years old, and not doubt owned and regularly played by relatively few people. Of those select diehards still grasping on to the constant glimmer of voxel generated hope, a tiny fraction would invest in an expansion. Hence the standalone nature of this title.

It's rather a shame Dagger has been released now. It's all the more a pity because the Land Warrior engine is one of the few titles that factors in bullet ballistics. High-powered rifles can penetrate even metal. Sound clarity is always a NovaLogic strength and the unique voxel technology produces distances that create a haven for would-be virtual snipers. This title, however, even lacks the co-operative multiplayer mode that is found in its predecessors. Therefore, it's my opinion that Dagger illustrates a move by one of the original three great tactical FPS kings on the PC towards an arcade FPS.

La série des Delta Force a eu des hauts et des bas, avec Force Task Dagger, elle touche carrément le fond. Le seul intérêt de ce titre est sans doute de tourner sur les toutes petites machines. C'est un peu juste.

Sadly though, the multiplayer games don't detract from the fact that this is simply exploiting a conflict that is still far too fresh in people's memories to be turned into any form of entertainment. It also falls short in the graphics and AI department, which are appalling. The forthcoming Delta Force: Black Hawk Down may deserve to be as successful as past chapters in the series, but if this tops the charts they'll be boxing camel shit and putting it on the shelves next.

Delta Force: Task Force Dagger offers one or two vaguely entertaining features, like aerial reconnaissance, but in the end these things are buried under the weight of the game's many disappointing traits.

Basically, this game is not worth the box it comes in. It lets the side down in all the important areas and will not be fondly remembered by anyone, let alone poor old cash converters who will likely end up with a stack of them. Avoid. Tell all your friends and family that, should they one day be feeling generous, you would rather they didn't buy you this game. Dont even rent it. Ugh.

I just don’t understand how you can plop down the money for Task Force Dagger when there are so many better games in this niche of the genre. It’s a testament to the dullness of this game that its 25 missions feature a wide variety of mission types, yet all of them feel like the same monotonous hunts for brain-dead adversaries. Yes, you can view video footage from unmanned aerial drones. But the view is, shall we say, uninspiring.

I don't know how to conclude. Delta Force might have been the best MP game at one point, but there hardly is a reason to speak of that aspect of the game - TFD primarily focuses on the single player missions in Afghanistan, and brings nothing new to the multiplayer facet of the series. There. It is a real shame that we are facing the downfall of one of the first and foremost military simulations. Let's be realistic, in the sea of similar games, which keep appearing constantly, Delta Force: Task Force Dagger can only be compared to some value titles in its genre. Asking for $30 for this is a waste of $25.
