How to run Destruction Derby 2 in Windows 2000/XPContributed by Joel Segerbäck (536) on Jul 19, 2004.

If the game looks messed up when you're trying to play it in 2000/XP you could try the following: Open the Display properties window (right click on the desktop and choose "Properties" or go to "Display" in the Control panel (Start>Settings>Control panel in Windows 2000)), now go to the "Settings" tab and click the "Advanced" button. Now you will get to the "Properties for [your monitor model] and [your display adapter]" window. Click the "Troubleshooting" tab. Move the "Hardware acceleration" slider four (4) steps to the left (the description should read something about disabling DirectDraw, Direct3D and advanced drawing) and press Apply. Now you should be able to run the game without problems (but remember to reset the slider to Full acceleration when you've finished playing the game, as you will probably encounter a lot of problems in other programs otherwise).
