PlayFirst offers Diner Dash 2, Egg v. Chicken for MacCasual game maker PlayFirst on Tuesday announced the release of two new games for the Macintosh — Diner Dash 2: Restaurant Rescue and Egg vs. Chicken. Both games are available for download now and cost $19.95 to register.
Brad Edelman, PlayFirst CTO, said in a statement that with these two releases, fifty percent of PlayFirst’s catalog of casual games is now available on the Macintosh, and several more games are coming. What’s more, Diner Dash 2 is a Universal binary that runs natively on Intel and PowerPC-based Macs.
A followup to last year’s enormously popular game Diner Dash, Diner Dash 2 returns you to the story of Flo, an up and coming restaurant entrepreneur who waits tables to make money, which can be used to improve her restaurants and buy new venues.
In this installment, Flo must save four friends from Mr. Big Corp. as she manages a stream of new customer types like The Family, Bookworm, Fitness Fanatic and Cell Phone Addict. Meanwhile, Flo has to navigate new impediments that litter the restaurant floor.
Playfirst describes Egg vs. Chicken as “three-in-a-row” meets “protect the castle” in a combination of strategy and action puzzle. A small team of runaway eggs must take on a marauding army of chickens as it travels through time to solve the age-old riddle: “Which came first?” You must slip your eggs into position then launch attacks against roosters and hens.
