Description

The Knife of Dunwall is the first story DLC for Dishonored. Instead of Corvo from the original game, the player now controls Daud, the leader of the clan of supernatural assassins known as The Whalers, as the protagonist. The game starts with a flashback of the death of the Empress, but now from the point of view of her assassin, Daud. Seeking redemption, he too meets the character, the Outsider, who controls the magic in the world, and is tasked to unravel the mystery behind the character Delilah. The story takes Daud through familiar places from the original game such as the Flooded District, as well as new locations such as the Rothchild Slaughterhouse and the Legal District.

The gameplay and control over the character is very similar to the original game. There are two new supernatural abilities (Voice Gaze and Summon Assassin), two new gadgets (Choke Gas and Ark Mines), and Daud's Wristbow as a new weapon. It consists of three new missions that put an emphasis on stealth to get most out of the content: A Captain of Industry, Eminent Domain, and The Surge.
