I'm always happy to recommend any game, but especially when it may have a troubled lineage. Certainly, the Disney stamp had almost completely lost integrity for me a few times, but I have to say that even if you don't pick up any other peripheral stuff from the Finding Nemo movie - like that would happen - you should really get this game. If you're a kid, you'll have good fun and if you're a parent, your kid will be thrilled. The movie earned some kudos and the game deserves to wear the license with pride. Jump in and swim!

Overall, this game is solid with a few minor flaws, but the whole package is simply too short. The clear time according to the in-game clock was just over three hours. In truth, it probably took more like 5 “real” hours for me to complete. While the experience is definitely worth checking out, it might be better to rent first and purchase if you're wowed by the game. It is possible to go back and earn all of the starfish, which adds to the replayability, but after you've seen then entire story, there's no second quest or hard mode to access, so once all sixty starfish are earned, that's all she wrote. A great reproduction of the movie's locales and characters, but it is almost as short as the movie.

Though a simple kids game at heart, Finding Nemo is an exciting and fun-filled journey. With brilliant graphics and lots of fun mini-games, Finding Nemo is a fantastic game to get if you're looking for a great family game or a game for a younger sibling. If you're an older gamer, it's still fun, only very short and very easy. For a kids game, though, you can't go wrong with Finding Nemo!

Having played far too many THQ kids games, this one comes with a happy little star(fish) by its side. While the game presents players with familiar platform concepts, the hitch is that it's all done in the guise of a fish, which alters the course a bit and provides Travellers' Tales with a slightly different pallet of tools to with which to work. If you like the movie and have a kid, this is an entirely recommended game to play. It's colorful and good looking, provides a good healthy level of anti-stupid puzzles and gameplay techniques and it's funny and enjoyable to boot. Not a brilliant game but a nonetheless good, solid one.

Should you reel this brand of plastic seafood in? Well, Finding Nemo is pretty basic in the gameplay department, but damn, it's a thing of beauty. Unless you're a hardcore fan of the flick, though, it really isn't worth thirty bucks. If you're eight, on the other hand -- like I was when I tortured those poor fish -- hook it!

Ihr weicht dahindümpelnden Quallen aus, räumt Felsbrocken beiseite oder bugsiert Perlen in Austern zurück. Aufgrund des mickrigen Spielumfangs werdet ihr schnell die Rückkehr des verlorenen Sohnes feiern dürfen. Eine hübsche Grafik sowie ei-nen zum Geschehen passenden Sound kann das Spiel aber immerhin vorweisen.

Admittedly, Finding Nemo truly is a kid’s game; but unlike a lot of titles geared toward the younger set, this one is actually fun and well designed, with great graphics and good sound. Following the storyline and comedic tone of Pixar’s movie, you play as four of the main characters. Long load times mar the title, but lots of cutscenes are mixed with the action. The title’s only worth it for kids, but at least they’ll enjoy it.

There’s nothing inherently wrong with Finding Nemo, per se; but at the same time, it’s missing the "Wow! That was cool!" or "I can’t wait to do that again" elements. Granted, the swimming physics are nice, the changing water currents add an element of surprise, and you just gotta love being chased by a shark that’s roughly one thousand times your size. Finding Nemo has its moments, yet the majority of the game is centered around swimming through rings and collecting snail shell challenges. Yes, the target audience is children, but only for the young tykes out there who are new to the gaming scene. The pacing is just way too slow to appease anyone else.

Kids will find Finding Nemo a fun game as they will probably enjoy the "Toy Story" animation from the movie. Parents will buy this game for there kids because they know that it will be nonviolent and supports the name of the movie. However, older people will overlook this game because of the "kiddy" factor---as they should because older gamers will be looking for something a little more complex. To sum it up, if you are under eight years old and your parents will only let you buy a nonviolent game, then go ahead and buy Finding Nemo as it is one of the best kid targeted movie-to-game titles, but its simplistic nature and design will drive mature gamers away.

Finding Nemo is a game that looks good and stays true to the material it's based on, but won't last long and isn't always much fun. GameCube owners who tought the days of sloppy ports were over get a reminder that a newer console doesn't always guarantee a better version of a multiplatform title. Released at the same time as the PlayStation 2 incarnation, GameCube's Finding Nemo ironically fails where the platform has traditionally been strong: in the framerate and load time departments. It's a darn shame, too, because Traveller's Tales actually crafted a fun little underwater adventure -- a sort of Ecco the Dolphin meets Crash Bandicoot. Sure, with heavy-hitters like Sonic and Mario, the competition on GameCube is fierce. But Finding Nemo looks and plays different enough to stand out from the rest of the GameCube lineup.

This is certainly one of the better-looking games I've played on my PS2. The controls are perfectly good, and a superb orchestrated soundtrack ranges from tranquil to intense. Stages are reasonable in length, with frequent checkpoints. The difficulty is easy, although collecting all of the bonus items can be a challenge. There are no glaring flaws with Finding Nemo, but I found myself growing weary of it about halfway through. Younger kids and Nemo fans can safely bump up the grade by one letter, but those looking for some excitement should look elsewhere.

Overall, it’s very easy to pick on Finding Nemo, both because it’s a kid’s game and based on a movie, but in this case, I think it’s warranted. If Finding Nemo was just too easy and too simplistic, then I could excuse it, because that’s what makes a good kid’s game. However, there are just too many problems, both technical and otherwise, with this game for me to simply overlook because Finding Nemo is intended for children. Making a game intended for children does not make poor game design OK. While children may indeed enjoy parts of Finding Nemo, it is likely it will greatly frustrate them in the long run, and frustration for frustration’s sake is simply no fun. There are very few redeeming qualities about the video game version of Finding Nemo, and it should be avoided accordingly. Simply put, these fish have gone very, very bad.

Of the three versions, the Xbox Finding Nemo is the one to get if any are really worth getting. The numerous problems with the core game ensure all but the most hardcore fans are going to pass on this one.
