Windows ScreenshotsPlayers spend points to setup the strength/type of their pretender god, as well as abilities of the dominion. Player armies are moved between provinces, or can defend, patrol, search, research, pillage or construct buildings on an existing one. Only armies can move between provinces, and the only requirement for an army is the commander. However a commander is vulnerable without troops and orders. Magic is part of the world of dominion. If research and crystals are both plentiful, magic-using commanders can cast powerful spells upon a specific province. Magical Gems are an important resource, being required to cast spell. For a small loss, gems can be converted into other types. Special Sites on the map are important to find, for they often grant special abilties or additional resources to the province. Should a battle occur, it is played out by the computer and a summary is displayed detailing casualities on both sides. While the player has no direct control over battles, they can be watched in order to find out where assigned tactics went wrong. Only specific creatures are able to move underwater, but otherwise they act just like other provinces. | ||
