Easily the best of the three DK Land games. The usual platforming action may become tedious after a while, especially with the involvement of the DK coins. In general, it is a superior game that will not be completed overnight. Lets hope Rare continues to design outstanding products such as this for the Game Boy.

Graphically, although the animation is impressive all around, I did find the colors somewhat lacking which is my only grievance with DK & DK. I'm sure the GBC's pony power is going instead to the sprites and animation, however, so this is to be expected. DK & DK is a must-have import GBC release, as it is currently only available here as a cross compatible game.

Donkey Kong Land III is the great example of classic portable gaming. The experience one would expect from the series on home consoles was almost perfectly emulated over to the Game Boy, with plenty of new content to appease the fans. It has its faults of course, and if you're not keen on collecting lots of different items in order to progress then may not have enough willpower to see the game to the very end, but those who stick with it will be rewarded with one of the most enjoyable platform adventures on the Game Boy.

Just as in DKC3, there's a lot to do and see. The map layouts and baddies make for a slightly less challenging game than DKC3, but the fun level is very high.
