Summary
Great Side-Scrolling Action/Puzzle
The Good
The graphics are superb (relative to its time), and the Prince's movements are fluid and rather realistic. Although the story is rather light, the action and problem solving elements make up for this shortcoming. The levels are very difficult, but upon completion, one feels very proud. The sword fighting is probably one of the best I've seen in an old DOS game: it's very easy to learn, and even more easier to actually pull off.
The Bad
As I've said before, the story is rather empty, especially since it was mainly told through a series of cut-scenes, but not expressed in words. The ending was also kind of hollow, at least in comparison to that of POP 2.
The Bottom Line
This game is perhaps one of the funner that I've played back in the good old days of DOS. While the story is not the most engrossing, I remember constantly dwelling on how to beat certain levels. Heck, I even mapped certain levels in order to find possible means of beating them.
