...Ascendancy, the Logic Factory’s debut offering, is simply the best game of its type yet published. It’s a creation of such scope, elegance, richness, and sheer addictive playability that it’s a thing of wonder.
PC Games (Germany)

A quand Ascendancy 2 ?
Coming Soon Magazine
Ascendancy is the first game by Logic Factory, a new developer created by two ex-Origin employees. The game is based on a strategy/exploration scheme that has already been used in several other titles, but it successfully managed to add new elements that makes Ascendancy an incredibly addictive game.
PC Joker
Last but not least wollen wir noch die durchdachte Maussteuerung, die Online-Hilfe für Handbuch-Haser und die diversen Startoption (Galaxis-Gröβe, Zahl der Alienrassen usw.) loben, was Ascendancy in der Summe zum bisher gelungensten Vertreter des Genres macht.
Power Play
PC Attack
In short, if you like strategy games, and don't mind waiting all morning before your game gets exciting, Ascendancy will take care of the rest of the day.
World Village (Gamer's Zone)
Herein lies the shame, I see more raw talent in Ascendancy than Master of Orion. Sadly, the lack of good documentation, the tedious interface, and the ennui of micro-management for ships and planets combines to drag this stellar game down to earth. What remains is a good game, definitely worth a try. Just prepare yourself for a bad case of the "If Onlys."
Computer Gaming World (CGW)
I really wanted to love this game. Even after discovering it was virtually pointless to play at this point, I still spent another two days slogging through it because it looked so good. ASCENDANCY has it all: cool technology, great graphics, intricate combat and funky aliens. Yet in all just sits there, disjointed, inanimate – like some sort of Baywatch Frankenstein, waiting for somebody to come along and provide the final jolt that will bring it to life. If the Logic Factory follows the SimTex system of continually putting out patches until they finally get a game right (and right now, it looks like they will, as a major AI patch has already been promised), then in about six months or so I might be playing this game again. But if you are the type who has little online access with which to track down the latest fix programs (or you are a rightfully annoyed gamer who things a game better work right when it comes out of the box), then this should probably be a pass for you.
