The game starts with an empty star field and the Enterprise at the bottom in the centre. Then the Borg appear
There's a small four dot cursor just beneath the Borg ship.
This targets the phasers and is steered with the J, K, I, & M keys
The torpedoes re hitting the Borg ship.
These only fire forward
The Borg ship has descended quite low now.
There's no way to pass beneath it.
