Es ist dem Spiel anzumerken, daß die Programmierer laufend neue Ideen und Spaß an deren Realisierung hatten - man kann sich die "Wie wär's denn, wenn wir..." Diskussionen lebhaft vorstellen. Dieser Übereifer hat leider dazu geführ, daß Dime City mit Ballaststoffen aufgebläht wurde, die vor allem den Einsteigern schwer im Magen liegen dürften.

Spielerisch ist Dime City leider ebenso halbstark wie die Technik: Antiquierte Grafik, Kaufhaussound und die teils nervig zippeligen Icons auf dem scrollenden Hauptscreen fallen unangenehm auf.
