Overall-Duke Nukem 2 is a very worthy successor to the first game. With the changes and improvements, Duke Nukem 2 is a shining example of making a good game better.

Gute Fortsetzung eines hübschen Ballerspielchens.
 
Obwohl es in Mailboxen als "VGA-Graphics" beworben wird, ist das eigentliche Spiel immer noch im EGA-Standard und gehört noch dazu zu den übelsten Rucklern der Branche. Das "Scrolling" findet nur in Schritten zu je acht Pixeln statt, was das Spielgefühl rasch zerstört. Lediglich die Menüs und Zwischengrafiken bieten 256 Farben und sehen recht professionell aus; zum eigentlichen Spiel wollen sie aber nicht so recht passen. Den Shareware-Teil schaut man sich gerne mal an, aber bevor man Duke registriert (und drei weitere Teile erhält) sollte man sein Geld in ein Profi-Spiel des gleichen Kalibers investieren.
