Elie jest dosyć starą grą, napisaną w zamierzchłych czasach, gdy standardem graficznym dla komputerów klasy PC byta karta CGA. Firma Firebird postanowiła zatem ją odmłodzić i wypuściła nową wersję Elite Plus. Niestety jedyne zmiany jakie udało nam się zauważyć ograniczają się do poprawy jakości grafiki - a właściwie jakości kokpitu i dodania większej ilości kolorów (wliczając w to migający w 256 kolorach napis ELITE na stronie tytułowej).

Power Play

Ein Klassiker ist nicht totzukriegen: Das süchtigmachende Gemisch aus Action, Strategie und einer gehörigen Portion Handelsspiel erfährt auf PCs mit der Plusversion seine Wiedergeburt. Flotte VGA-Grafiken und Musikkartensound gehören ebenso zur neusten Elite-Fassung wie Maus- oder Joystick-Steuerung.

Abandonia

Overall, I'd give this game a 4 as it has great gameplay, cool graphics, but is lacking in one area: it's the same game as the original Elite. Nothing more has been added except a newer, easier-to-use interface and new graphics. This game would have scored a higher rating if it had had something cool added, like going on fun missions from the planets.
