Trivia

Acer used to package Epic Pinball in their early to mid 90's desktop PCs. It came with three tables: Toy Factory, Space Journey, and Pangaea.

Owner's of the shareware version could purchase:

  • Epic Pinball Pack 1: tables -- Android/Gold/Excalibur/Crash
  • Epic Pinball Pack 2: tables -- Magic/Jungle/Deep
  • Sea/Enigma
Or both Pinball packs - ordered together!

For the floppy disk 'registered version' contains eight complete pinball tables: Android, Pot of Gold, Excalibur, Crash & Burn, Magic, Jungle Pinball, Deep Sea and Enigma.

The original Shareware version lets you play only the Android table, although all of the others are included on the menu. Selecting the other tables shows them, but tells you to contact Epic to access them.

Consists of three 4-table "episodes", but the CD version also contains another table (a total of 13) called African Safari.

Designed, illustrated and programmed by James Schmaltz (Solar Winds, Silverball)

Artwork for the tables "Space Journey" and "Toy Factory" was done by Pixel/Future Crew. By chance, these two tables have a "feel" when playing them that is much more like the "Pinball Fantasies" tables than the rest of the Epic Pinball tables. (contributed by Andy Voss)
