Eye of the Beholder II: The Legend of Darkmoon

I loved this game the minute I got it. The graphics were great at the time (and still are) and I still remember how I jumped at the ceiling when I was attacked from behind. The game starts out easily but gets tougher soon enough. The sound is somewhat lacking, but the musical scores are pretty nice. If you like party-based, real-time RPGs, then this game is certainly a good choice!

In summary, it's one of those games which are worth having. You'll return back to it again and again until you have it sussed. It may be days, or it may be months, but you'll enjoy every minute of it.

AD&D-systeemistä ja hirviönreppanoista huolimatta Eye of the Beholder II: Secret of the Darkmoon on joka tapauksessa pakko-ostosluokkaa, ei sille mitään mahda. Kuitenkin pidit jo ykkösosasta, joten tulet rakastamaan kakkosta, ja varmasti jatkoakin on varmaan luvassa pikapuolin.

More continuation than revelation, Eye of the Beholder II is bigger and ever-so-slightly better than the original. SSI and Westwood Associates have played it safe and produced an acceptable, if not exactly revolutionary, sequel. I just wish somebody would really push this style of game to the limit. What about giving it a go with the third outing?

Nobody could realistically have asked any more of a sequel than EOB2 delivers - a solid, improved, more challenging version of the original and one which should keep EOB devotees happy for a very long time...

Die Stadt Waterdeep kommt nicht zur Ruhe. Im ersten Teil der neuen AD&D-Legend-Serie, dem Spiel "Eye of the Beholder" mußten wir ein ekelhaftes Beholder-Monster aus den Abwasserkanälen der Stadt vertreiben. Im zweiten Teil der Reihe ("Legend of the Darkmoon") macht ein finsterer Elfen-Magier den Landstrich um Waterdeep unsicher. Der böse Bube hat sich in einem Tempel, dem sechzehn Stockwerke hohen "Tempel of Darkmoon" verschanzt und geht dort seinen dunklen Geschäften nach.

Classique parmi les classiques, ce jeu de rôle d'un autre âge conserve tout son intérêt auprès des rôlistes sur PC. La suite de Eye Of The Beholder ne subit aucun ravalement de façade mais constitue un aboutissement du genre.
