Die abwechslungsreichen Grafiken sind im Vergleich zu den Vorgängern deutlich farbenprächtiger, zudem gibt es jetzt Tag/Nacht-Wechsel. Auch die Animationen sind nett, das horizontale Parallaxscrolling könnte dagegen besser sein - geht‘s einen Screen nach oben bzw. unten, wird wie einst üblich bildschirmweise umgeschaltet. Die Musikbegleitung ist eher durchwachsen, und Sound-FX ertönen nur gelegentlich, doch die Steuerung per Stick oder Tastatur funktioniert problemlos, bloß eine Paßwort- oder Speicheroption sucht man vergebens. Also insgesamt wieder die typische Eierspeise: mehr Cholesterin als Adrenalin.

There's a danger of being accused of hypocrisy here. Haven't we always said that big is not necessarily best, and that there's virtue in simplicity. The problem is that the gameplay in Dizzy is too simple and too similar. But, you might say, it's aimed at children. It still costs the best part of 30 quid I reply.
