Guilty

"Guilty" is the sequel of "Innocent Until Caught" produced by Divide by Zero and published by Psygnosis. In this new title, you will play as either Jack T. Ladd or Ysanne Andropath which gives you two different ways to complete the game.

Une avalanche de bons jeux d'aventure est à noter ces temps-ci : entre Discworld le mois dernier et Guilty, les développeurs ont privilégié l'humour en créant des jeux qui ne sont pas cucul-la-praline. Souhaitons que cela continue le plus longtemps possible. Mais faut pas rêver...

This is a typical adventure game with (once again) non-typical combination of two characters in the same adventure, average graphics and sound. It’s maybe a little short, but with some very hard puzzles. A definite must hove for every adventure fan.

Getreu dem Motto "Unkraut vergeht nicht" meldet sich Innocent Until Caught-Held Jack T. Ladd in einem neuen Psygnosis-Adventure zurück. Diesmal kommt er aber nicht allein, sondern in charmanter weiblicher Begleitung.

Precis som i Innocent Until Caught genomsyras spelet av humor. I snart sagt varje replik finn det en ironisk underton, en underfundig tvetydighet eller något annat man kan skratta eller småle åt. Små episoder - till exempel när skeppsdatorn Booba drabbas av ett datorvirus - är riktigt roliga. Problemen är för det mesta hyfsat logiska, men det finns de som är löjligt långsökta. Och vissa ställen man ska klicka på är så små att det kan vara irriterande att spendera en massa tid på att hitta just rätt pixel. Grafiken i äventyrsspel utvecklas ju ständigt, men Presumed Guilty har inte hängt med i den utvecklingen. Visst är en del mellansekvenser snygga, men det är inget man höjer på ögonbrynen för.

Cut out the pleasure planet and Guilty would have improved no end. It could have been a little longer, but it has a fair serving of problems for the adventure game fan. I must admit I quite like this series and the addition of Ysanne has certainly helped it along. If there is another, I'll play it, and especially if it is told in the same way with the opportunity to play each character separately.

Andere Adventure-Offenbarungen der letzten Monate wie "Kyrandia 3" oder "King's Quest 7" sind grafisch und spielerisch wesentlich weiter. Presumed Guilty hält man nur mit viel gutem Willen duch: Spurenelemente von Spielspaß verlieren sich in den Weiten des ziemlich einfallslosen Szenarios.
