The Incredible Machine

This is probably one of the most original games ever made. When I first heard it's name, the first thought was "Oh no, here comes another space shooter". Boy, was I wrong. Enter the Sierra's big surprise. Finally a game that is not only fun to play, but also requires some thinking! Every single level presents a new challenge, each one being special and unique. You start off with simple ones, just to get to the really tough ones. The list of available "tools" you can use to get through the levels increases as you progress through the game. This also ensures that you will not get bored easily. The missions are very fun to solve and the tasks will often make you laugh out loud.

Die Incredible Machine ist sicher ein gutes Denkspiel mit einigen tollen Ansätzen. Aber den potentiellen Klassiker-Status hat Sierra verfehlt; mit mehr und dazu ausgewogeneren Levels sowie schönerer Grafik wäre eine höhere Gesamtwertung drin gewesen.
