You have been brought to Tamir by a fairy to retrieve the magic fruit that will restore health to King Graham. Go east to the river and trees, and you should see a worm being eaten by a bird. (If not, go back west and try again.) Approach the bird and it will fly off. GET WORM before he buries himself into the ground. Now head east (x2), past the river and thin trees to the more heavily wooded area. From here, walk south. Eventually, Cupid will come. When he does, scare him off and GET BOW that he leaves behind. Go south (x3) and LOOK UNDER BRIDGE to retrieve a golden ball. Go north to the pond and go near the edge of the pond. THROW BALL IN POND and the frog will retrieve it for you. GET FROG and KISS FROG to be given a crown from the prince. GET BALL back.
Go east to the graveyard. Go south and enter the cute little house. The place is disgraceful, so go CLEAN HOUSE. The seven dwarves will arrive and sit down and have a bowl of soup. LOOK POUCH in the middle of the table and TALK DWARF if you want. Once the dwarves are gone, GET POUCH and LOOK INSIDE POUCH to reveal some diamonds. Leave the house. Go south and enter the mine. Inside, find the head dwarf and GIVE POUCH. He tells you to keep it and he gives you a lantern. Leave the mine. If you did not get the worm earlier, I suggest that you do. From this location, go north (x) and enter the haunted house.
Here, go left to the library and LOOK BOOKS. Type GET BOOK to get a book about Shakespeare. Go over to the picture above the fireplace and LOOK PICTURE. Go over to the left wall and LOOK WALL to find the latch. PULL LATCH and walk through the secret door. GET SHOVEL and leave the house. Leave the house. Walk east then south. WEAR CROWN and enter the waterfall. Once inside, GET BOARD found lying at the entrance of the cave. Enter the cave and GET BONE. Leave the cave and go outside.
Go south and take the path east. Two goons will take you to the castle to meet Lolotte, their leader. Lolotte decides to lock you up in one of her cells, only to release you seconds later. She asks you to bring back the unicorn (You did manage to locate an unicorn in the woods, didn't you?) and toss you back out into the woods.
Explore for the unicorn. When you finally find him, do not approach. Instead, SHOOT ARROW AT UNICORN to make it remain still. Find the minstrel. (He may be sitting on a stump at the beach or in the woods.) Approach him and GIVE BOOK that you found in the haunted house's library. With his lute in procession, go to the beach, go north near the fisherman's house, and go east to find Pan. Approach him and PLAY LUTE and he will listen to your tune. GIVE LUTE to him in order to get his flute. Go west (x2). You will see the fisherman fishing at the end of the pier. Wait for him to go inside his house. Follow him. Once inside, look around and GIVE POUCH to the man and he will offer you his fishing pole. Leave the house and go west. Go to the end of the pier, being careful not to fall into the ocean. BAIT POLE WITH WORM then FISH until you have caught one. Jump in the ocean and swim west to the island.
Explore the island until you find a peacock feather lying on the ground. GET FEATHER. Walk to the edge of the island and hit [F5] to save the game. Keep swim east. Here, you are supposed to see a whale, but if you see Jaws instead coming after you, restore the game and try again. The whale will swallow you up. When he does, you are looking inside him. GET BOTTLE floating in the water and OPEN BOTTLE. You can READ NOTE inside if you want. Go to the right side of the whale's tongue, about a half inch from the wall of its mouth. Make your way to the uvula by climbing diagonally toward it, being careful not to slip. Rosella will stand up when you get half way. once you get to the uvula, TICKLE WHALE and Rosella will tickle the whale with the feather (If you ae told "Not here.", then you need to maneuver a bit until you get in the middle.), causing him to ah-choo you out back into the ocean where there is another island ahead of you. Swim to the island. Approach the pelican then THROW FISH TO PELICAN and he will catch it, fly off, and leave you a whistle to play with. Go over and GET WHISTLE. Go over to the boat wreck and stand in the middle of it. LOOK GROUND to get the bridle. Finally, BLOW WHISTLE and you will summon a dolphin. RIDE DOLPHIN to be taken back to Tamir.
Go back to where the unicorn remains stationary and PUT BRIDLE ON UNICORN. Go to his left and RIDE UNICORN to travel back to Lolotte's domain. Lolotte thanks you for giving her the unicorn, and ask you for the hen that lays golden eggs. Go south and west (x2) to the ogre's house. Open the door to the house. (Make sure that the Ogre or his wife doesn't see you.) Inside, the dog will approach you so you must THROW BONE TO DOG quickly. Go upstairs to the bedroom. LOOK AROUND and GET AXE. Go back downstairs and OPEN DOOR to the closet across the table. Eventually, the ogre will come home. When he does, quickly LOOK THROUGH KEYHOLE and watch the sequence that follows. OPEN DOOR and GET HEN from the table. OPEN DOOR that leads you outside. Make sure you save your game before typing this in, as the hen's squawk causes the ogre to wake up. Not only do you need to get out of the house, but you also need to go one screen east as the ogre continues to chase you. You may find this difficult as first, but you will eventually outrun him.
When you get to the trees, SWING AXE to scare them. They will leave you alone if you do this. From the back of the ogre's house, go one screen north to the pine trees abd dirt, then east (x2). You will be taken to Lolotte, who eventually wants you to retrieve Pandora's Box for her. Go north then east to the waterfall. WEAR CROWN and enter it. LIGHT LANTERN and enter the cave. Save your game here, then proceed south as many screens as possible until you get to the southern most part of the cave. From here, go east until you get to the screen with a light in the distance.There is a chasm ahead of you. Go up to the area where you can ee the start of it, and PUT BOARD ACROSS CHASM. Now get close to the southern walls and go east slowly across it. When you get to the other side, GET BOARD and walk toward he light (NOTE: If at any time you see the troll approaching you while venturing through the ave, leave the current screen and go back.) You are outside, there are several tufts of grass in the swamp, and gaps between them. Go to the edge and JUMP until you get to the last tuft and are right in front of the island with the magic tree. The distance between you and the island is too big, so PUT DOWN BOARD. PLAY FLUTE to the snake and it will get hypnotized for a short time. Quickly, cross the board to the island, GET FRUIT, cross the board again, GET BOARD, and JUMP back to where you came from. Enter the cave.
Now it's night time. Go back down to the outhern walls and move a little bit west, so you can PUT DOWN BOARD, cross it, and PICK UP BOARD again. Go west all the way and then north until you are out of the cave. Enter the waterfall. Go north (x2) to the witch's cave. Save your game once again. One of the witches will approach you. Go up to the two witches at the back wall and get close to them, but not too close. GET EYE that they pass to each other and leave. Re-enter and one of the witches will throw you a scarab. GET SCARAB and THROW EYE TO WITCHES.
Now go south (x2) and west to the haunted house. The lights will be on, so enter the house. Eventually, you hear a baby crying somewhere in the house. Go upstairs and enter the bedroom on the left. Go left to the baby's room. Go over to the crib that is rocking and LOOK CRIB. Leave the house and go west to the graveyard. Find the tombstone where it mentions a six-month-old baby by entering READ TOMBSTONE with each one that you come across. When you have found the ttombstone that belongs to the baby, DIG and you will find a rattle. Bring the rattle up to the bavy's room and PLACE RATTLE IN CRIB. Go down the stairs and search until you see a miser. Leave the house and go into the west graveyard. Find the tombstone that relates to the miser, and DIG to find a bag of gold coins. Return to thr house, find the miser, and GIVE COINS TO GHOST and it disappears. Now you hear some crying from upstairs, so innvestigate by going into the bedroom on the left, and you see a woman sobbing in her rocking chair. Once again, leave the house and go east to another graveyard. Find the tombstone that belongs to a woman who lost her lover at sea. DIG to find a locket. Enter the house again, go up to the left bedroom, and GIVE LOCKET TO GHOST. You hear more wailing coming from downstairs. Once you have investigated, leave the house and go to the west graveyard. Find the tombstone that belongs to the war hero that "served that "served his country well", and then DIG to find a Medal of Honor. Enter the house, find the ghost lord, and GIVE MEDAL TO GHOST. A boy ghost appears. Follow him upstairs to the bedroom on the right. CLIMB LADDER to the attic and observe him. CLIMB LADDER back down, leave the house, and go to the east graveyard. Find the grave that belongs to a boy. DIG to find a toy horse. Go back to the boy in the haunted house, and GIVE TOY HORSE TO GHOST and he will vanish.
Once the boy is gone, OPEN CHEST and LOOK INSIDE CHEST to get a piece of sheet music. CLIMB LADDER down to the bottom and go down the stairs. Go into the secret room and climb the stairs to the top, making sure that you do not fall. SIT DOWN on the bench in front of the pipe organ, and PLAY SHEET MUSIC. When you are done, a secret drawer should open up. LOOK INSIDE DRAWER and GET KEY from inside. Leave the house and go to the east graveyard. UNLOCK DOOR to the crypt and enter. Here, GET ROPE at the end of the platform and CLIMB DOWN the ladder that is revealed. Save your game and GET PANDORA'S BOX. The mummy at the back wall will chase you. Quickly, CLIMB ROPE back up the platform and exit. (For a good laugh, save your game first, then OPEN PANDORA'S BOX. Restore your game after.) Go back to Lolotte's domain to give the box to Lolotte. The queen's companion, Edgar, decides to marry you in the morning, and you end up being locked in a bedroom.
Wait until Edgar approaches your bedroom and leaves a rose at the door. GET ROSE then LOOK RoSe to discover a gold key hidden in it. GET KEY, UNLOCK DOOR with key, then OPEN DOOR. Save your game then CAREFULLY go down the stairs, being careful not to wake the sleeping guard as you go east into the dining room. Go through the uppermost doorway and walk east into the kitchen. OPEN CABINET on the right and GET INVENTORY that is found in there. Save the game and walk back out to the west. Without waking the goon, go to the lower doorway and head east to the thronee room. There is another goon here so be stealthy and go to the stairs to east. Save your game again in case that you fall off the stairs and meet with death. Walk all the way to the top of the stairs and you arrive in Lolotte's bedroom. Save your game , and UNLOCK DOOR to the bedroom. OPEN DOOR and quietly enter. LOOK AT LOLOTTE to discover that she is wearing Genesta's talisman. Approach the bed. If you attempt to yank the talisman from her neck, she willwake up and zap you. Instead, you need to SHOOT ARROW AT LOLOTTE. Edgar tells you that you are free to explore the castle. GET TALISMAN from Lolotte's neck.
Go down one flight of stairs and enter the room to the west. (Three goons will bow to you as you pass them), OPEN DOOR to the room on the right. You are inside the closet, where the hen and Pandora's Box are kept. GET HEN and GET PANDORA'S BOX, go downstairs, and leave the castle. You will see a stable located near the entrance to the castle. Enter the stable to find the unicorn. Move to the middle of the gate and OPEN GATE to release the unicorn. Exit the stable and climb down the mountain slowly. Go back to the crypt, go into the corner where you found the box, and DROP BOX.
Finally, make your way back to the pier and save your game. Jump off the pier and into the water. Swim west all the way to Genesta's island. Find her castle, OPEN DOOR, and climb the stairs to the top to reach her bedroom. Approach Genesta and GIVE TALISMAN TO GENESTA. |
