Operating is more complex as well there are more things to watch such as the C02 level and urine output as well as the good ole EKG. Also operating can be more fun now with better graphics and sound and the ability to use a drill. Now if this is not enough to make you download it then you go best view another game as L&D2 is a real gem, as the working version of it is very rare. So go and enjoy this great game. (I rate this game 5 because this is a rare great game)

Just Games Retro
The original Life and Death was a serious simulator of abdominal surgery, and pretty impressive for its time. The surgeries were certainly researched and in-depth, but the game felt fairly limited and short. The patient exam sections had very few symptoms to diagnose, and only two different surgeries could be performed. It was as if Toolworks wanted to test the unproven idea of a surgery simulator on the market. Judging by Life and Death 2, that test was passed.
