A good balance between micro and macro management. The battlefield screens could stand a bit of enhancement. Lords of the Realm has all the ingredients, and in the right proportions, to satisfy anyone interested in historical simulations.

David Lester and Chris Foster have give strategy gamers a “sporting chance” to win at a game at which too many historical personages have lost.
