Lost Eden

Si vous débutez et cherchez un jeu pas trop complexe qui vous en mette plein la vue, foncez, vous ne le regretterez pas. En revanche, si, l'expérience aidant, un jeu est avant tout un défi à relever en un temps record, attendez-vous à faire le tour de ce paradis en un petit week-end.

Although Lost Eden has wonderful animations, remarkable graphics and an out of this world soundtrack, it fails to keep your interest high throughout the game, except for when you discover new animations.

With its gorgeous graphics and original story, Lost Eden secures Cryo's reputation as top adventure designers.

Overall, this is a fun and entertaining game that is not overly long. Not as well-known as some of Cryo's later games, it is certainly different and amusing and worth picking up if you see an inexpensive copy available.

Multimediapelien tapaan Lost Eden ei ole järin avartava. Seikkailu etenee melkoisen vaivattomasti viemällä esineitä oikeisiin paikkoihin, ja syvällistä vuorovaikutusta pelimaailmaan on turha etsiä. Adamin seuralaiset ovat niin avuliaita, että omat aivot voi vaihtaa välillä vapaalle. Lost Edenia voisikin luonnehtia koko perheen seikkailuksi. Ei turhan vaativa, mutta tarpeeksi viihdyttävä.

Ein originelles, grafisch hervorragendes Abenteuerspiel. Die Puzzles sind etwas zu einfach, der Spielverlauf viel zu geradlinig. Allerdings fesselten mich die gerenderten Grafiken so an den Bildschirm, daß ich das Spiel am Stück durchspielen mußte - auch wenn es nur vier Stunden waren, es war beste Unterhaltung.

All in all, the game is not too difficult, but if you do get stuck there is a magic shell that allows you to communicate with a deceased old wise man and he will let you know what you should generally be doing. The game itself is fairly straightforward and, although you can change the order in which you do things, be warned, you do run the risk of someone important vanishing before you get to them. I found no sub-quests and most things could be solved in one, and only one, way. Compared with Dragon Lore, it is a little disappointing because of this lack of complexity.

Noch ist Eden nicht verloren - wohl aber die Zeit, die ich mit diesem zum Aussterben verurteilten Such-den-Saurier-Langweiler vertrödelt habe. Für Styling-verliebte Einsteiger, die jeder geistigen Anstrengung aus dem Weg gehen wollen, mag's vielleicht erträglich sein.

I like to think of myself as a very experienced gamer, but to finish this game in four hours without getting stumped once? Let me just say this, if you are a beginner to the adventure game genre, Lost Eden is an excellent "foot wetting" game. But for all of you other experienced gamers out there, save your cash for a more challenging quest, 'lest your funds become extinct!
