Das ist das einzige Kart-Rennspiel, das genauso toll aussieht wie es sich spielt - und das liegt nicht zuletzt am extrem spritzigen SVGA-Modus und den pfiffigen Strecken mit ihren tausend Niederträchtigkeiten. Der verblüffend günstige Preis ist ein echter Knaller und macht die Entscheidung noch leichter. Wann sonst bekommt man so viel Spielspaß für so wenig Geld?

Indeed, the only conspicuous problem I noticed - aside from my own bad habit of taking hairpin turns way too fast - was perspective correction. When you're close by, the walls will occasionally appear to warp outward. Fortunately, there's a work-around: Keep your eyes on the road and step on it!

Für rund 40 Mark ist Manic Karts absolut empfehlenswert - sofern sie keine High-End-Simulation erwarten, sondern Lust auf ein schnörkelloses Actionrennen haben.

In conclusion, Manic Karts is best described as "been there, done that." While some may enjoy its simple and straightforward gameplay, most people demand more for their gaming dollar. Those looking for a quality arcade racer should try Virgin's own Screamer or EA's Need for Speed instead.

This game is not good, especially when you have other games out there like Nintendo 64's Mario Kart. I can't see that this game deserves much more than an 18, due to problems from the starting gun of installation to the checkered flag of the in-game action.
