In playing Wizardry: Nemesis, I felt that there was only one problem: it is good as an RPG and as an adventure game, but is not stunning as either. In addition, the adventure-game element takes away from the replay potential. Once you have finished it, you may play it for nostalgia or because of the beautiful graphics, but you already know the story and have seen the bells and whistles. However, it fully meets its advertised title of "The only adventure worthy of the Wizardry name." It is a fun game, and does a good job of integrating two interesting genres. As time goes on and hardware improves, I hope that more RPGs will provide the detail and depth of adventure games, and adventure games will allow the length of gameplay, character advancement, and action of an RPG. This game does an excellent job of doing so, and I hope that the next title in the series can have even more of the strengths of both game styles.

Nemesis is a fun good solid game that will take you quite a few hours to complete. I enjoyed the mood and ambiance it created, and thought that the graphics were very well done. There are games far worse than Nemesis. If you are into the graphically based adventure, this is a good buy. It'll be interesting to see where Sir-Tech is going to go next.

After playing the original Wizardry so many years ago, I never would have imagined that dungeons could look this good. Nemesis is an impressive-looking game and creates an enjoyable RPG/adventure mix. The only problem with this is that hardcore fans of either genre might not enjoy the game elements from the other genre. However, Nemesis: A Wizardry Adventure is an enjoyable trip through some wonderful yet dangerous lands. Despite a few flaws, Sirtech has successfully blended two popular gaming genres to make one of the top games of the holiday season.

GameSpot
The important thing to remember about Nemesis is that it's not a role-playing game. There are characters stats, but they're preset, and though the character's abilities increase with use, this aspect is handled very simply. It is in fact a hybrid RPG-adventure title that is mostly adventure, and as such it's quite entertaining. People expecting the new Wizardry may be disappointed, but adventure gamers will find a lot to like.

Adrenaline Vault, The (AVault)
There are better adventure games; there are worse adventure games. Nemesis: The Wizardry Adventure suffers from an unoriginal, overused storyline, and heavy-handed, often overly serious gameplay. Combat could be better, and the spell-casting interface is clunky. Despite all these flaws, though, there is a solid adventure game in Nemesis. It’s too bad the designers didn’t see that when they started, and stuck to one style of game.
