On Champion difficulty or above, immediately after you destroy your opponent in the Fire Pit in One-Player mode, perform your robot's Fire & Ice move to access Fire, the super-enhanced Katana. Destroying him will eliminate the hazards in the Fire Pit and give your Katana the Fireball (D-DB-B+P).
On Ultimate difficulty, after destroying Fire, do the Fire & Ice move again to access Ice, the ultimate Shadow. Destroying her will not only give your Shadow the Ice Freeze (F-DF-D-DB-B+P), but give you 20,000,000 points!
Every robot (except Nova) has a different Fire and Ice move, performed right after you destroy your opponent.
Jaguar: U,D+K
Shadow: D,D,D+P
Thorn: U,U,D+P
Pyros: U,D,D+P
Electra: F-DF-D+P
Katana: B-DB-D-DF-F+K
Shredder: U-UB-B-DB-D+K
Flail: F-DF-D-DB-B+K
Gargoyle: D,D,D+P
Chronos: D-DB-B+P
