The DOS Spirit
Det er ingen tvil om at Bullfrog i regi av Peter Molyneux hadde store ambisjoner den gangen på slutten av 80-tallet, og det med god grunn. Det fantes strengt tatt ingen andre spill som tilbød denne typen frihet og utspring for gudekompleks. Det er kanskje ikke så rart at spillet ble så uhyre "POPU"-lært, og ledet korstoget for mange etterkommere i senere tid. Blant disse finner vi Populous II, Populous: The Beginning og Lionheads fantastiske Black & White-serie. Det er bare å bøye seg i støvet over hvor mye det her er klart å presse inn på skarve 280 KB, for dette er mildt sagt utrolig.

A quasi-arcade game, but one with sustained play value. The major problem is that one cannot find “new worlds to conquer” without being successful at the predecessor levels.
