Princess Maker 2 you play the role of a father to your blessed daughter from the heavens. For the next 8 years, you will nurture and guide her in the path of your own choosing:
Character Development
Choose the path of your zodiac-influenced daughter by scheduling her to jobs and schools, which will raise her statistics (Strength, combat skills, cooking, faith, etc.) Each month allows you to designate 3 different tasks for her to follow. Balancing between character development, stress level, health and financial income is the focus of this game.
Adventure
Mini sub-quests and various plot options revolve around your daughter adventuring in the wilderness. Provided that she's strong enough to tame the wilds. Equip her with armor and weapons to fight off wandering random monsters in turn-based combat.
The game starts with your daughter at age 10, where you will guide her until her adult years. Your choices will decide the fate of your daughter: her marital status, accomplishments and her relationships with other people. There are overall in 74 unique endings. Choose well, hero.

Yes, the "Gainax" developer is the famous animation studio we all know and love, they make lots computer software (based on both their own work and that of some manga artists) and the Princess Maker series is one of its most famous ones. In fact the character designer for the whole series is none other than Takami Akai, long-time member of Gainax and assistant director on 1987's Royal Space Force: The Wings of Honneamise.
