If you choose to attack the clay formed by pouring water on the ground, this will yield a message informing the player that "...this isn't Clay Fighter!" - a reference to the Clay Fighter series of games.

Some versions of the game (a sort of collector's edition, but there's nothing written on the box itself) shipped in a bigger carton box which also contained a paperback re-issue of "The Sword of Shannara" book by Terry Brooks.

The full version of this game was released on the July, 1997 cover disc for Computer Game Entertainment magazine.

The cover art for the box of Shannara was done by the famous fantasy artist, Boris Vallejo.
