Abandonia
I wanna be a wizard! Did Guybrush forget his lines? Nope, it’s Simon, a small boy that has to save an old magician Calypso who was captured by the evil Warlock Sordid! After a small magic show (one of the funniest credit sequences actually) Simon is sucked through a trans-dimensional worm-hole and escapes a band of Goblins, who "invited" him for supper! A pure 5 pointer!

Adventure Corner

Quandary
If you haven't yet had a look at Simon then do so now, it's well worth it, and especially as the sequel is almost upon us. Also, don't be put off by the fact that the main protagonist is a 12 year old. Simon may have a bit of growing up to do -- he has yet to learn that asking personal questions of heavily armed warrior women is impolite, not to mention downright dangerous -- but, rest assured, he doesn't do anything too drastic. Deep down he's a friendly and obliging little fellow. This is one of those games that has universal appeal. Adults will love it just as much as children, if not more so.

Adventure Gamers
Even now I find the game a joy to play, and it seems to have hardly aged at all. For many people this game is not top five material, but if you’re a fan of both adventure games and British humour like me, then Simon the Sorcerer should not be missed.

The Good Old Days
What makes the big impression when playing are the graphics. See all those screens you cross, pretty places filled with details and a personal style. I don’t fancy those characters as much even thought they are well animated, but the landscape is something to remember, filled with details like all those faces hidden on the rocks. Yet don’t lose hope. I repeat, it is fun, just not as much as other games. So if you like graphic adventures try it, you may enjoy the game.
