Space Quest I: Roger Wilco in the Sarien Encounter

After taking off from the desert planet, if you enter the wrong coordinates one of two things will happen: 1.Your ship will run into an asteroid and explode. 2.Just after you come out of hyperspace, the pilot droid will announce a scanner anomaly and scratch his metallic head. \8-? Then a Romulan warbird appears onscreen and cloaks in front of your eyes. Of course it has very unfriendly intentions.

---Star Trek references One of the ships sitting outside the bar looks suspiciously like a standard Federation shuttle. Part of the USS Enterprise's serial number can be seen faintly written on the side.

The sound effect for turning the translator device on and off is the same used in several Star Trek series when characters pushed their badges to turn on their communicators. (a short *chk-chk-chk* noise)

Also there is the warbird scene described above.

---Music Both the music for jumping to hyperspace and the ending music have a few bars stolen from Star Wars songs. The easiest way to find them is to get the MIDI files from queststudios.com and listen closely.

---Lamest pun Clicking the nose on the floor opening where the tentacle monster appears.

The response? "It smells grate."

Notice the NCC on the shuttle. The second C is partially hidden behind the building.
