Space Quest I: Roger Wilco in the Sarien Encounter

Being released at the same time as the remake for Police Quest - In Pursuit of the Death Angel, it is by far the best of the two! The mini-quests are not as difficult as those in the other quest games and you get warnings (sometimes) to help you avoid death. The graphics is also better making the scenery in the game look astounding. The difference between the EGA and the VGA can not be described by mere words!

If you can sit through Monty Python and the Quest for the Holy Grail without cracking a smile, you probably won't like either Space Quest 1. But if you have a sense of humor at all, even if it was just laughing at some idiot getting a concussion on America's Funniest Home Videos, Space Quest 1 is a must-play. So there!

In der neu überarbeiteten 256-Farbenversion sind piepsende Töne aus dem Rechner endlich passé: Das Spiel unterstützt alle gängigen Sound-Karten. Roger-Fans, die nicht unter Geldproblemen leiden, dürfen ins All durchstarten und sich an den aufgepeppten Grafiken erfreuen.

Undeniably flawed, yet undeniably fun, the original Space Quest is perfect for classic adventure lovers and sci-fi fans. As 1/6th of the bargain-priced 2006 Space Quest Collection, there’s no excuse not to play it.

Vor allem diejenigen, die vielleicht jenseits 1990 das Licht der Welt erblickten und keinerlei nostalgische Verbindung zu Spielen wie diesem besitzen, mag manches Feature sauer aufstoßen. Aber ich wage zu behaupten, dass 'Space Quest' auch noch in zwanzig Jahren Anhänger finden wird, die sich vom häufigen Abnippeln und der unbequemen Steuerung nicht davon abbringen lassen, Roger sicher durch sämtliche Gefahren zu manövrieren um am Ende den goldenen Mop für außergewöhnliche Tapferkeit verliehen zu bekommen. Denn Tapferkeit zahlt sich immer aus. Vor allem beim Spielen eines Kultklassikers.

Un clásico de obligada revisión periódica. Divertido y entretenido como él solo, es un comienzo de lo más digno para la que sería una grandiosa serie. Lo recomiendo efusivamente y eso que no es la mejor de la saga. Se muere mucho y mal, tiene un par de puzzles puñeteros y en ocasiones nos veremos más en manos de la suerte que de nuestros propios medios, pero aún así la aventura sigue siendo una maravilla.
