User review spotlight: Ultima IV: Quest of the Avatar (DOS)
The game starts with the brown bird hovering over the chasm of doom
On the easy levels the chasm stays pretty wide most of the time and, as in this shot, there's only the occasional falling brick
The chasm does narrow, sometimes quite rapidly, but the game is still easy to play
Playing on an easy level. The egg died because I got bored and was distracted
The game has a high score table. Here it shows that the game lasted over ten minutes
Playing on a harder level. three falling bricks and a ridiculously tight turn through the chasm. Plus there's a baddie at the curve waiting to scramble the egg
The egg's dead now but look how tight the path through chasm becomes
