Summary

Yet another gulf war sim - perhaps one too many?

The Good

Almost every decent combat flight simulator has built-in Desert Storm missions or has them included in an expansion pack. F-15 Strike Eagle, Desert Strike and more. Each one of them has historically accurate missions and it is rather enjoyable to see the lovely nature of Iraq and Kuwait. However, this game is better than original Tornado. More weapons, better graphics and little bit more enjoyable gameplay make it worth mentioning. If you want to really destroy the Saddam and obliterate anything slightly resembling him, this is the one.

The Bad

On the other hand, I never enjoyed the original and this game inherited all lackings. Awful greenish color scheme made me sick. And the Head-to-Head was just impossible for me, since I had only one COM port and serial mouse. It did not accept my internal modem also. However, it is not a bad game because of that. It is - different. Actually, one thing I almost always forgot(in both games), was to switch the wing position. I hated it, but it was necessary to keep the jet together.

The Bottom Line

If you liked Tornado, you will probably love this one. In any other chance, you should try T.F.X. or F-14 Fleet Defender, both released in same time as original Tornado.
